Over the decades, Bollywood has seen the rise of numerous great stars and actors. But there are those who shine through the ages. Here is a list of some of those immortal actors who have etched their names in the Bollywood industry with their marvelous acting skills.

Ashok Kumar
This veteran actor, also known as Dadamoni, has acted in numerous films and is still a revered name in the industry. His acting career started off completely accidentally when he volunteered to act in the place of the lead actor in the film Jeevan Naiya in 1936 after some problem arose with the original lead actor. His next movie, again opposite Devika Rani, Achhut Kanya paved the road for his long career. He gave many more hits during these years and made a place for himself in the industry.

Dilip Kumar
He is considered one of the most successful actors Bollywood ever saw. Since 1944 he gave numerous hits over the decades and also got many Filmfare awards which are proof of his great acting skills. Andaz (1949), Aan (1952), Devdas (1955), Mughal E Azam (1960), ganga Jamuna (1961), and many more such movies were all swashbuckling hits in the industry and his place strengthened over the years.

Amitabh Bachchan
The original angry young man of Bollywood have and is still giving numerous hits. He is a legend in himself and has shown his flexibility as an actor by acting in numerous different roles, be it the role of a hero or a villain. Whether it is the angry and strict professor in Mohabbatein, or the notorious underworld king in Don, or the loving yet strict father in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, or the passionate lover in Abhimaan, he has shown his acting talents to the fullest and has done justice to each and every role. Even at this age, he has been going on strong and is providing great movies one after another.

Rishi Kapoor
Hailing from the legendary Kapoor family, which has reshaped the entire Bollywood industry, this veteran actor have shown lots of shades in his long acting career. From being the heartthrob of millions as the romantic hero during his early days to the present day elderly roles, he has transformed into a complete actor. His movies like Karz, Bobby, Prem Rog, Bol Radha Bol were huge hits and are still some of the most remembered among his many films.
